but today she finally connected that she can use those signs to communicate her wants.
She pulled up on my leg, smacked her lips, and signed "eat" when she was ready for lunch. She woke up from her nap and asked for milk. She signed "more" (very enthusiastically) when I started to put her cheerios away during snack time.
It's like somebody just flipped a light switch in her little brain.

YEAH!!! SO exciting! Go Maddi!! I still remember the first time Kenna connected it, and oh how wonderful it is until they start talking! I can't wait to see her do it, I am sure she is darling!
Signing is THE BEST. It is so nice to know what they want. Maddi may be a little young still, but the Signing Time videos are amazing! I swear Chase could have full-fledged conversations with a deaf person. You can rent them from the library for a buck if you're interested.
