Today my nurse told me that some girls with premature rupture of membranes (early water breaking) are at such high risk of delivering early that they are put on bedrest UPSIDE DOWN. As in, not just horizontally flat on their backs, but reclined all the way and then some with head lower than their feet, in order to minimize loss of amniotic fluid.
Can you imagine?
The tear in my water sac is small enough, and leakage is slow enough that I get to sit. And stand up in the shower for a few minutes daily. I'll take it.
And. I've hit the one week mark. Yay!
